***ANNOUNCEMENT – October 2022***
Due to high demand, we have now closed applications for the 2022/23 EOP mentoring initiative
OP Masters degrees provide a steady stream of talented and highly-motivated graduates, yet so many struggle to find their feet when joining the world of work.
This is why we created the Emerging Occ Psychs initiative.
We want to support these individuals by developing their understanding and skillsets in ways that will ease their transition into employment.
Our goal is to create an online community that will provide interested individuals with the resources and support to develop professionally.
The 2022/2023 EOP Cohort will run for 9 consecutive months from November 2022.
The EOP uses a 2-tier system for Mentees:

‘Gold-level’ members receive free access to all content provided by the EOP initiative, including access to panel discussions, webinars and workshops.
‘Platinum-level’ Mentees receive all the benefits of Gold level, but are also paired with an EOP mentor. This will involve a private monthly 1-on-1 call between the mentor and their mentee.
*Please Note – The EOP initiative is 100% free for everyone!
Requirements to be an EOP Mentee
To be an EOP Gold-level Member, all you need to have is an interest in OP or a related field. All are welcome, including students!
To be an EOP Platinum-level mentee, you must…
- Have graduated^ from an OP* or OP-related Masters degree course in the last 4 years.
- Be willing to engage with the wider EOP community through online discussions, literature recommendations, and a blog piece
- Be able to attend a monthly one-on-one remotely-conducted mentoring session with your assigned mentor at a time and date suitable for both parties.
Please note…
There are a small number of EOP mentors, so platinum-level places are limited and allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. If you apply for a platinum-level place (after meeting the requirements outlined above) and we cannot pair you with an EOP mentor, you will automatically be offered a gold-level place.
Becoming a mentee will involve a commitment of at least 1 hour each month with your mentor, for 9 months from November 2022 through to July 2023. You must be able to allow for this time!
The application process for mentees will take 15-20 minutes, so please allow time to complete it in its entirety (the application process for Gold-level members is considerably shorter).
The deadline for mentee applications to the 2022/23 EOP initiative is Sunday 24th October 2022. However, please apply as soon as possible, as places are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
We will also require all selected mentee to complete a 10-minute feedback survey at the conclusion of the initiative in July 2023.
If you meet the requirements outlined above and would like to apply to be a gold-member or platinum-level mentee, simply complete the short survey by clicking the button below:
* Please note – OP is an abbreviation of the term ‘Occupational Psychologist’. Whilst more commonly used in the UK, other terms are also used in the UK and internationally. These include (but are not limited to) ‘Business Psychologist’, ‘Organisational Psychologist’, ‘Work Psychologist’, and ‘Industrial/Organizational Psychologist’. If you professionally identify as any of these groups, you are just as welcome to take part in the EOP!
^ If you are about to start an OP masters course in 2022, you are welcome to apply to the 2022/2023 EOP cohort as a ‘Gold’ member, in addition to applying for platinum membership next year!
